Listen up: Imagining is just as important as implementing.
Don’t believe me? Think about it:
✅ You need someone to dream up the idea
✅ You need someone to understand how to implement it
✅ You need someone to execute it flawlessly
But here’s the catch: just because you can imagine it, doesn’t mean you should implement it.
Implementing is a whole other skill set.
It’s why you see creatives hiring to execute their visions.
So don’t judge somebody’s worth by their implementation skills.
The beauty is in the balance. This little bit of wisdom took me a long time to understand.
For the longest time, I was embarrassed about being the imagination part of the equation, and I mixed it with picking up a hammer, which is not my core strength. Actually, I picked up ALL the hammers, lol. Don’t do that…
There are certainly people who can do both, but I’ve learned through pain that it’s not my path. And I suspect that the people who can do both (well) are rare, yet I feel like the expectation is that you should be able to do both. I now understand this to be a core “secret” to building a business.
